The 20-year-old Bay Area singer has deleted her social media accounts on a number of occasions in the past, but yesterday the internet took name calling and judgment to a new level for Kehlani.
The Grammy nominated artist had been dating Cleveland Cavalier Kyrie Irving for at least 3 months, that we know of, and the two of them appeared to be happy from the looks of what they shared on Instagram. That all flipped upside down yesterday, March 28th, when her ex-boyfriend, OVO signee, PartyNextDoor popped back into the picture, announcing that he was seeing the singer again.
He went on to delete the post later that day. Kehlani deleted her entire account, and signed back up later that day to open up about her attempted suicide.
This is very very sad news and we truly hope that she gets well soon. Say a prayer for her and her loved ones during this time.
Sadly, there are still a lot of negative things being said about Kehlani after this devastating news. We must not scale downs someone’s life story to one tough incident, we never know what she has been dealing with. Depression and suicide are serious, it’s nothing to joke about.
If you or anyone you know ever have thoughts of suicide, please contact The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1 (800) 273-8255.
