As if he hasn’t given back to North East Ohio enough, LeBron James is shining some major light on a few Cleveland businesses.
Partnering with CNBC, LeBron and SpringHill Entertainment give four Detroit-Shoreway entrepreneurs and businesses the opportunity to prove why their company or idea’s should be invested in. About six other neighborhoods were in consideration for “Cleveland Hustles”, but the Detroit-Shoreway area had been recently chosen. The show was green-lit by CNBC and some of the executives from the hit show Top Chef and is co-produced by King James as well. When asked to comment on the show, CNBC executive Jim Ackerman stated that “Cleveland Hustles speaks to the network’s entrepreneurial spirit and also creates an opportunity to help strengthen communities that have fallen on hard times.”
While LeBron is a co-producer and will appear on the show, he is in fact not one of the investors. Nonetheless, “Cleveland Hustles” premiers August 24th on CNBC so set your calendars! Check out CNBC.com for more info.
