26 year old painter and graphic designer Kashmir Thompson built one of the most solid foundations that we have seen in Ohio from an artist. After drawing for as long as she can remember, graduating from art school, and taking her talents seriously in 2014, Kashmir has already managed to make it clear that she is coming for a top spot in her field.

From creating some of the coolest logos for the most talented people in the state, to painting pictures that young Black girls everywhere needed to see, Kashmir shared her #BlackGirlMagic with the internet long before it was a hashtag. She recently made the move from Cleveland to Atlanta and it appears that in a matter of months, her brand expanded into products and all of her hard work is paying off. Frequently selling out and being standout pieces of celebrities outfits, Kashmir Thompson’s products were a big hit in 2015.

This month, she landed a spot in none other than Essence Magazine under their ‘Women of the Arts’ column! If anyone deserves this, it’s definitely her. CYULTzMUQAAuxfK CYdOeJ9UoAADdsb Screen Shot 2016-01-11 at 1.52.15 PM CYdOeJ_UEAIGeRKTo check out more of her work and shop, visit kashmirviii.com.
